Diagnose the cause.
Then plan the repair.
A display that turns on or a turntable that rotates does not verify the heating system. Door-switch operation, controls and internal components can produce different faults with similar visible symptoms. A diagnosis is needed before deciding which part, if any, should be replaced.
Before your service visit
Send the model number and tell us whether the microwave is countertop, built-in or over-the-range. Describe exactly what happens after pressing start and whether the display remains on. A photo of the installation helps us discuss access and whether the model is suitable for a service visit. Do not open the outer cabinet to investigate an internal issue.
A repair decision that makes sense
Replacement may be more practical for some lower-cost countertop models, while installation and matching cabinetry can affect the decision for a built-in unit. We can discuss the diagnostic fee and service availability first, then explain the repair estimate after the problem is assessed.
