Refrigerator repair
in San Antonio.

A warm refrigerator can interrupt your whole day. Lifeline Appliance Repair helps San Antonio homeowners get to the cause of cooling, airflow, water and ice maker problems. Tell us what each compartment is doing so we can prepare for your visit.

LIFELINE / REFRIGERATORS

What’s your
refrigerator telling you?

These symptoms are a starting point—not a parts diagnosis.

  • Refrigerator warm while the freezer is cold
  • Both compartments warmer than expected
  • Ice maker not producing or dispensing ice
  • Water pooling inside or beneath the appliance
  • Clicking, rattling or a fan that sounds different

Diagnose the cause.
Then plan the repair.

A cooling complaint does not automatically mean the compressor has failed. Air movement, temperature sensing, defrost operation, door sealing and the cooling system can produce overlapping symptoms. We use the condition of the appliance and diagnostic measurements to narrow down the cause before recommending a repair.

Before your service visit

Send the model number, the temperature displayed in each compartment, and a photo of any frost buildup or error code. Tell us whether the problem started suddenly, comes and goes, or followed a power interruption. Avoid repeatedly changing settings while you are documenting the problem.

A repair decision that makes sense

Repair decisions depend on the appliance’s age, overall condition, diagnosis and parts availability. A fan or ice maker issue presents a different decision than a major cooling-system repair. We explain the findings and estimate so you can compare the repair with replacement.

Comparing your options? Read our repair-or-replace guide. Before booking, see what to prepare for an appliance service visit.

We serve San Antonio, Cibolo, Boerne, New Braunfels, Seguin and Canyon Lake. Check our service areas and contact us to confirm availability at your address.

From symptom to diagnosis

Common refrigerator problems.
What the details tell us.

These are diagnostic possibilities, not a diagnosis of your appliance. We confirm the cause before recommending work.

Refrigerator warm, freezer cold

When one compartment stays cold, airflow between compartments, fan operation and defrost behavior are useful diagnostic clues. A blocked air path or a control issue can look similar from the outside.

Helpful detail: Tell us which compartment is affected and whether you see frost on the inside back wall.

Both compartments are warming up

Power, controls, fans and the cooling system all need to be considered. Hearing a motor run does not prove the appliance is cooling normally, and a warm cabinet does not identify one failed part.

Helpful detail: Share the displayed temperatures, any error code, and when the change began.

Ice maker not making ice

Ice production depends on more than the ice maker itself. Temperature, water supply, fill components and the ice-making mechanism can each affect the result.

Helpful detail: Tell us whether the water dispenser works, whether the ice bin is empty, and whether water is leaking.

Water inside or under the refrigerator

The timing and location of water help distinguish a drain issue from a supply, dispenser or other source. A photo can help us prepare, but the source still needs to be checked.

Helpful detail: Note where the water appears and whether it happens after dispensing or during normal operation.

About refrigerator repair

Your questions,
answered.

My freezer is cold but my refrigerator is warm. Are they separate problems?

Not necessarily. The compartments may share parts of the cooling or airflow system. That symptom helps guide diagnosis, but it does not identify one failed part by itself.

Can you look at an ice maker problem?

Yes. Share whether it is not making ice, not dispensing ice, or leaking. Also tell us whether the water dispenser works and send the refrigerator model number.

Your routine starts here

Let’s bring it
back to life.

A model number. A few symptoms.
A real conversation about the next step.
